Leeds, UK Its first year was 2006 . At the beginning it was a small festival with only a handful of artists but it has slowly stablished itself as a popular indoor music festival. One of the artists that was part of the event in 2006 was Fall Out Boy , which had already achieved fame the year before; the other ones weren't well-known. It first took place in the Leed's Millenium square, but it moved to the student union of the University of Leeds . In 2010 , a part of the festival was held for the first time in the University of Hertfordshire. Nowadays this two-day festival is known as the Slam Dunk North (Leeds) and Slam Dunk South (Hertfordshire). Now there's a third event in Midlands (Birmingham). It is normally held on the May Bank Holiday of each year, featuring a mixture of up-and-coming and more stablished bands, based around punk, emo, metal, rock and ska music. USA, Canada Hi, since some of the festivals are held in the US or in the UK, I thought it would be fine to translate those posts into english. It's a festival of music and extreme sports . Its real name is Warped Tour, but the skateboarding shoes brand called Vans has sponsored it since 1995, so it is known now as Vans Warped Tour. Along this past years, more than 100 bands per festival and between 10 000 and 30 000 people took part of this event. Guest bands usually play in 10 different stages for 30 min, while the most important ones do it in the principal stages. In addition, the most voted band by the public has the right to play 10 min more. Usually, the day at the festival would be since 11:00 a.m until 19:00 p.m. It was born as a skate-punk, hip-hop and ska festival, but nowadays, it also includes genres as punk, rock, pop, hardcore and alternative . EEUU y Canadá Es un festival de música y deportes extremos. Su nombre real es Warped Tour , pero la marca de calzado skater  Vans lo ha patrocinado desde 1995, por lo que es conocido como Vans Warped Tour. Durante estos últimos años, acogió a más de 100 bandas por festival y entre 10 000 y 30 000 espectadores. Las bandas invitadas suelen tocar en los 10 escenarios diferentes que existen durante 30 min, mientras que las más importantes lo hacen en los escenarios principales. Además, la banda más votada por el público tiene derecho a 10 min más de actuación. Normalmente, un día en el festival iría desde las 11:00 de la mañana hasta las 19:00 de la tarde. Madrid, España Este año se celebra el 12, 13 y 14 de Julio . En este festival se mezclan varios estilos musicales, desde indie y alternativo a rock suave o clásicos. Aunque también hay algún grupo de electrónica o más comercial. El año pasado una de las cabezas de cartel fue Green Day , junto con  Foo Fighters y Kings of Leon . También fueron  The Lumineers y Foster The People . Suelen incluír bastantes grupos españoles además. En el 2016 fueron The Who , Neil Young ,  Bastille y Vetusta Morla . El cartel de este 2018 es: Aún faltan por confirmar algunos grupos, pero tenemos a Pearl Jam , Artic Monkeys , Jack White , Snow Patrol , Depeche Mode , Queens of the Stone Age , Dua Lipa , Post Malone , Iván Ferreiro ... A mayores de la música, el Mad Cool también atiende a otros aspectos, como las fotografías e ilustraciones , haciendo un concurso en el que ganaron 50 obras de unas 900 presentadas. Punk Rock, EEUU Esta banda estadounidense fundada en 1986 , está formada actualmente por Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool y Mike Dirnt. Hasta 1991, el batería fue John Kiffmeyer. Tré Cool Mike Dirnt Billie Joe El grupo es de Berkley (California) . Al principio se llamaba Sweet Children y John Kiffmeyer ("Al Sobrante") era su batería. Después de unos años, fue ganando éxito y en 1994 lanzaron el aclamado Dookie, que tuvo un éxito internacional y lleva vendidas más de 30 millones de copias en todo el mundo. Junto con The Offspring y Rancid consiguieron hacer resurgir el punk rock y pop punk en Estados Unidos, con lo que se empezaron a crear muchos más grupos de estos estilos. Aunque no todos alcanzaron la fama de Green Day, y la mayoría ya no sigue en activo. Por el contrario, Green Day sigue alcanzando números uno en las listas de éxitos.
